  1. I was there!

In a tree, on a branch, overhanging the stage, (Not too far back, pretty good view/) stage left (center-ish). Sitting on the branch between two friends. It was a good sized tree and branch.

There was a mad battle raging on, between the gate crashers and security. Security seemed to be exceeding their authority during and after apprehensions of gate crashers. We were between it. Mostly above it all.

We had to leave a bit early, when a gate crasher (of which we were 3) hurled a half empty long neck bottle of Miller High Life, which hit my friend, who was sitting on my right. It nailed him right on the back of the head. On the soft spot. Dead center. I somehow caught the bottle of beer and kept my buddy somewhat study and from falling right off the branch. With much help from my other friend. We all descended from the tree unscathed. Save for John, who we would be taking to the emergency room, directly. And a little tree hugging bark burn.

Semi-conscience, dizzy and near delirium, not to mention intense throbbing pain. John decided he did not want to go to the hospital. So we stopped at the super market on San Fernando and Alameda, bought some medical, shaving and sewing supplies. Went to his apartment in North Hollywood. I Stuffed his bleeding brains back into his head. 36 stiches.
