My knowledge of Procol Harum is nowhere near what their history deserves, so songs like "An Old English Dream", "As Strong As Samson", and "Barnyard Story" were unexpected highlights for me and are now stuck in my head. This is one of those recordings I can't stop listening to. Outstanding vocal work by Gary Brooker and a great performance by the entire band made this evening "shine brightly". And, true-to-form for the Birchmere, a casual conversation on line once again earned me a new friend. Turns out that the guy in front of me has the same exact hobby with extremely similar stealth techniques and even a Sony M10 "to boot". We sat together, and at times it was like looking in a mirror as we simultaneously checked our levels. I don't think "DC" plans to upload his, but our recordings are naturally quite similar. I think you'll enjoy this one.
